Nokia C1-02 is made for people who are looking for a straightforward and basic phone. It is a rugged phone having a great battery life and works pretty well too. I would recommend this phone if you are looking for a basic phone without camera and 3G data.
Smartphone lovers and gadget hound are waiting hard for the first glimpse of a Nokia phone running on Nokia Window Phone. Also, it is good to see Nokia making such basic phones; it shows the versatility of the manufacturer. There might not be any high end features here but this handset gives you excellent value for money. The price of the phone £20 for pay-as-you-go. The unlocked phone will put [...]

Nokia pay as you go phones are recommended for people who don’t talk much on the phone. These handsets are ideal for senior citizens who just make phone calls when there are any emergency situations. Nokia 2600 is a basic phone with a few enhancements that are well though and sweeten the deal well. There aren’t any bells and whistles here and this phone is all about sticking to the roots.
Nokia 2600 has a very familiar design of candy bar and this is one of the Nokia pay as you go phones, which fit in the hand snuggly. It feels very light too at just 94.5 grams. There are interchangeable covers along for the phone and this will certainly appeal to trendy and hip kind of people. Other than this, the handset has a simplistic and functional design.
The [...]

The model number makes it clear that this is a basic phone. All 2xxx phones are low end models and the Nokia 2705 Shade is one of them. I have to admit that such basic phones are the least interesting gadgets for me, as a tech reviewer. But there are a lot of people around who are looking for cheap handsets just to make calls and send text messages. I get a lot of mail requests asking me to review the basic phones so here I am, writing about it.
Nokia 2705 Shade is a Verizon Wireless service. The phone has a simple flip design and it is all black. There is nothing spectacular about this gadget in terms of design but that is hardly anything to complain about in a low end cell phone. Such basic mobiles are targeted towards senior citizens and they don’t care much about the [...]

Nokia 1662 is a simple handset both in terms of functionality and style. The handset is quite compact at 108mm by 45mm and is just 13mm thick. At 82 grams, this phone is not too heavy. I would recommend this phone to people who just want to make phone calls and maybe send some text messages.
Nokia 1662 has both vibration and ring alert options and you download more polyphonic ringtones for supplementing the options that you have on the phone right now. There is handsfree speakerphone capacity as well and the phone comes with a 2.5mm headphones jack for plugging in headsets.
Phonebook of the Nokia 1662 can hold 500 names and the memory inside stores the last 20 entries for missed, received and dialed numbers. You can access them whenever [...]
February 10th, 2011 | Entry Level Phones
This is the age of smartphones but this doesn’t mean that entry level phones are totally extinct. I got the Nokia 1680 phone in my labs which take me back a few years in terms of design. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Actually, it is good to have a simple candy bar phone with tested aesthetics. The handset’s feature set is pretty low; you get VGA camera, organizer features and messaging. This device is made just for making phone calls and I was disappointed to see that keyboard was very stiff. Nokia review of this phone says that the skin is plasticky and makes the phone look cheap. I would still recommend Nokia [...]

Nokia 3110 Classic is an entry level phone and this should be clear from the ‘Classic’ tag itself. The handset is made for people who are looking for a basic phone with decent battery life. This device is quite inexpensive because of the barebones features inside. But Nokia has still managed to chuck in a few extras.
I have reviewed tons of Nokia phones and a cool thing about their products is that they are all easy to use and the 3110 too lives up to the tradition. The Nokia menu layout is classic and anyone who have used this company’s phones before will easily get along with it. Nokia has used the bigger size of the phone for making bigger buttons and this makes it easy to type text messages.
In my tests, the Nokia 3110 Classic gave me good signal quality even [...]

There are plenty of Nokia unlocked cell phones in the market here in the US and I am talking about the least expensive ones here. They are made just for calling and have a few extra features spawned but I won’t recommend these gadgets to any gadget freak because of they don’t have any high end goodies found on smartphones.
Nokia 2660 is a phone having a simple and user-friendly design having good call quality. It comes with Bluetooth and this is something that is rare on low end cell phones. The phone is far from perfect though; I was disappointed to see that the handset doesn’t have a sturdy build and it feels a bit cheap in the hand. The phone doesn’t have a volume rocker on the sides so you will have to use the navigational toggle for adjusting [...]
December 2nd, 2010 | Entry Level Phones
You might think that this is a high end Nokia phone because of the model number starts with ‘6’. We have had some great 6xxx phones in past one of them being Nokia 6600 which was a huge hit in the market. Nokia 6010 is an entry level handset and it is made for people who just want to make phone calls and nothing else. Also noteworthy here is that Nokia is one of the most versatile handset makers in the world. It makes basic handsets as well as high end smartphones with the same enthusiasm.
Nokia 6010 is 119 × 50 × 23 mm and these dimensions are pretty standard for a basic phone. It will easily fit the tightest of pants pockets with no major struggle. At just 3.92 Oz or 111 grams, the phone is not too heavy either. The Nokia 6010 has a 500 names phone book capacity and a single entry [...]

Nokia 2610 basic entry level phone covered by AT&T. I have been following technology for quite some time and Nokia’s claim to fame was such basic phones. These days, they are concentrating on high end handsets but it is noteworthy that this company became famous because of its basic phones. The manufacturer might have changed its priorities right now but it is nice to see that they have returned to their roots with this phone.
The design of the Nokia 2610 is pretty basic; it is a simple form factor with candy bar layout, simple navigation and controls. There are no buttons at all on the sides, I expected at least a volume rocker which easily lets you control the volume while on a call. For changing the volume, you will have to take the phone away from the ear and use the direction [...]

CDMA phones from Nokia are not that popular here in the US. They mostly make GSM phones since the company has its roots in Europe. Nokia Mirage 2605 is covered by Verizon Wireless and is an entry level phone. The call quality is just average, the design is flimsy and the VGA camera has awful photo quality. This is just a simple phone made for calling other people but I won’t recommend it to even entry level users because the call quality is not that good. Instead, go with the Samsung Knack. Nokia Mirage will cost you $49 and you will have to sign a service agreement with the service provider for it.
Nokia Mirage 2605 is not that durable. I easily broke the ‘Xpress-on snaps’ as soon as I took it out of the box. They are there to give you some options for personalization but these snaps [...]
