Nokia N9 – Nice, But Could’ve Been Better
Nokia N9 – Nice, But Could’ve Been Better
The Nokia N9 entered the market just before the Nokia World 2011 event where Nokia was suppose to reveal their big plans for deliverance, that is to say adopting Windows Phone. The N9 runs on, what was considered as Nokia’s savior in the modern smartphone market, the MeeGo. A touch of exclusivity never harmed any gadget, and so is the case with Nokia N9, though we think that Finn should’ve focused primarily on MeeGo, rather than the Microsoft’s deal. The review here will tell us, what exactly Nokia N9 has to offer us, and whether or not will it be able to create a splash in the smartphone market. Built and Specifications: Built and designing have been the forte of Nokia and even the rudest of Symbian critic have not got a chance to criticize Nokia for  [...]

Nokia E7 – Impressive Hardware, But Inferior Software
Nokia E7 – Impressive Hardware, But Inferior Software
Remember the days when the Nokia Communicator series were the status symbol, and was seen only in the hands of powerful businessperson’s, yeah those were good days, especially for Nokia. The reason why we said that is because at that time Nokia was the market leader in cell phones and was one of the most trusted and advanced cell phone brand. But, that all changed with the arrival of iOS and Android devices and with Samsung and Apple along with some other smartphone makers taking over Nokia. Now, it seems as if  Nokia is working hard to get back what once was there’s by launching some new, advanced and user-friendly handsets in the market. The all new Nokia E7 is a fine example of Nokia’s arrival. The Nokia E7 belongs to the E Series smartphone of the market, and its worth mentioning  [...]

Now that the brand new Nokia Windows Phone is just around the corner, the speculations regarding the handset is building in the market. But until we don’t get any official confirmation, we can’t comment on it. But what we can do is to look at the Nokia N8, which is the reigning champ of camera-Smartphones in the market and can compare it with the recently launched Apple iPhone 4S to figure out why should one go for this smartphone over one of the smartphone engineering marvels from Apple, the iPhone 4S. So here we’ve listed some of the features that makes the Nokia N8 better, if you superior to Apple iPhone 4S. Nokia E73 Mode (T-Mobile) – Small screen
Nokia E73 Mode (T-Mobile) – Small screen
Nokia E series phones are really good phones, their business centric are on par with those offered by other smartphones. However, the E-series phones are struggling a bit in the market and they are facing competition from Nokia’s own N series. Nokia has made the E series and N series for business and multimedia users respectively but I have seen business users going for the N series and vice versa. The latest phone from Nokia to end up in my labs was the E73 Mode and this handset is offered from T-Mobile. Before this, I got the Nokia Nuron which was a good phone too but I like E73 mode owing to its features. The design of the Nokia E73 Mode is really great. The phone looks quite similar to E72 in terms of design. It has the slim profile which is really cool as this handset  [...]

Nokia E7 – Good display
Nokia E7 – Good display
If you have been following cell phone market for a long time, you will certainly remember the Nokia Communicator series which was a preferred brand of businessmen. Later Nokia merged it in to the E series and this is the latest flagship model from this series available for a price of $650. There is a lot done to refine the design and this handset also comes with a brand new Symbian 3 OS. There have been a lot of changes since the days of the Communicator as well. Nokia E7 borrows a lot of style cues from N8 and this isn’t really a bad thing since the hardware on N8 was really good. E7 has high end materials use with aluminum body and glass AMOLED screen.  [...]

Nokia C7 – Below par user interface
Nokia C7 – Below par user interface
Nokia C7 is a smartphone available for a decent price. It has a metal slim case, long battery life, and a lot of features that will make up for the user interface that sounds clunky. This phone is offered free of cost with £20 a month service agreement or £300 on pay as you go offer. You can also get it without any contract obligations for £300. My favorite feature about the Nokia C7 is the steel shiny case. It is comfortable to hold with slim and solid chassis. The front face can easily attract a lot of fingerprints but it won’t be a problem for you if you wipe it with a cloth regularly. This phone also feels quite sturdy and makes you think that it can take occasional drops. I had a great time making phone calls on the Nokia C7, the battery life is really good and  [...]

Nokia X2 – Good entry level messaging phone
Nokia X2 – Good entry level messaging phone
Things are moving quite fast in the world of cell phones and now even pre-paid phones have full QWERTY keyboards. They aren’t seen in huge numbers but their dominance has begun for the budget side too. Nokia X2 is a good example of this. There aren’t a lot of features here but you do get everything that you’d need in a messaging phone. There is full HTML browser but it is not really usable given the low-res screen and the slow EDGE network. If you are hunting for a easy to use phone that is well constructed, I would recommend you the Nokia X2. In terms of design, the best word to describe this phone would be ‘boring’ but this is not necessarily a bad thing. Not all cell phones out there need to have a striking design especially the ones made for communication purposes. With the  [...]

Nokia E51 Review – Stylish business phone
Nokia E51 Review – Stylish business phone
Phone manufacturers have always been serious when it comes to making business phones. They say these gadgets cannot be too flashy; it will put off any potential customers. But this trend has been eroding over the past few years and there have been stylish business phones. A good example of this is Nokia E51 – it is a candy bar phone with dimensions of 114mm x 46mm x 12mm and it weighs 100 grams. Some might feel it too long to put in the pockets but it is still not as bulky as the BlackBerry. Nokia E51 review is a HSDPA, 3G capable phone and it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities. In short, this phone has everything that you’d expect in a business class handset. Nokia E51 phone runs on Symbian 60 platform and it has support for push email through Vista  [...]

Nokia E 65 – Cool looking business phone
Nokia E 65 – Cool looking business phone
E series from Nokia is very popular amongst business users and the Nokia E 65 that I got in my labs for review proves the fact that business phones are not always boring; they can be stylish and smart too. This is a very slim phone and according to me, it is the best looking Nokia E series phone to date. Nokia E 65 has all the connectivity options that you’d look for in such a phone along with a two megapixel camera and 3G. My review model of Nokia E 65 had an attractive brown mocha color scheme. The silver and chrome finish on the screen and the front buttons make the Nokia E 65 look classy. The casing is made up of plastic but it doesn’t make the  [...]
